This penguin had spent his entire life on the same cliff and was beginning to get itchy feet. There had to be more to life than eating anchovies and making guano! So he longed to find happiness at sea. There was just one problem: he had no specific skills that would make him a suitable crew member. Among his colleagues, his greatest talent was a deafening scream; but sailors did not particularly appreciate this skill. Fate intervened when he came across a three-masted schooner that happened to have a defective foghorn - and so this African penguin became part of the crew, set sail and filled his life with exciting tales of the seven seas. As the story goes, if you are near the Cape of Good Hope and listen carefully on a foggy night, you can still hear his wailing call echoing over the waves.
